Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate warned of the weather depression expected to affect the Kingdom today, Tuesday, where temperatures will drop and rain showers will fall in the north of the Kingdom, extending to the central regions and parts of the eastern and southwestern areas, potentially heavy for a short period accompanied by thunder and hail, according to the meteorological bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.
The Directorate called for taking necessary precautions, adopting proper behavior, and the importance of staying away from the sides of valleys, areas of flood formation, and low-lying areas especially in the north and center of the Kingdom and parts of the eastern regions, and not to risk crossing water gatherings whether on foot or by vehicles.
It also alerted to the importance of driving cautiously on roads that may experience rainfalls and to be vigilant due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by dust in the desert areas and sometimes non-existent on desert roads, and due to fog and low clouds touching the ground over high elevations.
It called for vigilance and caution due to the intensity of wind speed and the strong gusts accompanying it and the necessity of securing objects likely to be airborne.
It emphasized the need for safe and proper use of heating devices of all kinds, not to refuel them while lit, to extinguish them before sleeping, to provide continuous appropriate ventilation for homes, and not to use wood stoves due to the negative effects resulting in choking incidents.
It confirmed the readiness of all staff to deal with various incidents and the necessity to call the unified emergency number 911 if needed.
