His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Mahfouz Ata Allah Al-Badour, born in Shoubak (Al-Abiyah) in 1978, graduated from Shoubak Secondary School in 1996, obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (Outstanding) in 2002. He obtained residency and specialization in brain and spine surgery from Al-Hussein Medical City during (2001 – 2004), and earned the British fellowship in spine surgery.
This benevolent young man, who belongs to his nation, I have been observing him since he was a deputy in the eighteenth parliament, where he was not a "sleeping" deputy, self-serving, never, but was an active and distinguished member. He also had an active media presence, and I noticed in media meetings that he was far from theorizing and showing off, but gave the impression that he was a high-class executive man.
There is no acquaintance between me and the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, and I think I met him once at a public event.
Since he became the Minister of Health, it has been clear that he is a man of the field, but not just for show, rather a proactive executive. He did not resort to the excuse that the state budget does not allow for improving the quality of healthcare services for citizens and advancing them, and lie down, (and be done with it and rest), as they say. Instead, he worked, and works tirelessly to improve healthcare services for citizens ((by devising administrative solutions)) effective, efficient, and not costly on the general budget of the state, nor specifically on the budget of the Ministry of Health.
I cannot list all the services that Dr. Al-Badour developed and worked on improving, but I will mention some of them, which are:—
1)) He took prudent administrative measures to reduce the waiting times for radiography and MRI and others, which used to extend waiting appointments to (9) months and more. This was achieved by measures including the cancellation of holidays, especially Saturday holidays, and extending working hours.
2)) Delivering chronic disease medications to patients' homes, using the electronic application (Hakim), where the patient can download and activate the Hakim app, where the medications for chronic diseases are delivered every month to the patient's home, against a nominal fee of (2) dinars per month as delivery charges. This wise measure, eased the patients and their families from the suffering of going to health centers and hospitals monthly to receive their repetitive monthly medications, as well as it reduced the severe congestion that the hospitals and health centers were suffering from.
3)) Implementing a comprehensive plan by the Ministry of Health targeting the maintenance of its health centers and organizing the waiting roles in specialty clinics, besides enhancing medical readiness in hospitals to ensure improving the quality of health services provided to citizens and alleviating the pressure on emergencies and reference hospitals.
4)) Activating emergency cardiac catheterization protocol for heart attacks, around the clock (24 hours) in the Ministry of Health's hospitals, in all provinces of the kingdom. This allows the reception of critical cases at any time, day or night, with the availability of devices and specialist doctors and technicians on duty.
Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, a proactive minister, tries hard to improve health services for citizens with smart administrative solutions that are not costly on the general budget of the state.
Dear readers, imagine if every minister would rise with the services his ministry provides to citizens, by devising administrative, organizational, and activating solutions in his ministry, wouldn't the result be an elevation of the nation and the services provided to the citizens?
Administrative reasons are what brought down Jordan as a nation. The country has regressed a lot, and the level of services has declined. If ministers were chosen well, as His Excellency Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour was chosen well, administrative obstacles would have been transformed into effective and successful solutions for what citizens suffer, and we would have uplifted the nation and risen with it.
His Excellency Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, a proactive minister, truly belongs to his nation, has succeeded in using the available opportunities, and activated the medical staff available, within the possibilities available to elevate the services provided by his ministry. Therefore, I am honored to extend my deepest thanks on my own behalf and on behalf of all Jordanians for his generous contribution and great devotion to his nation.
I am still determined, and will continue to be, convinced that ((bad management)), ((lack of competence)), ((poor belonging)), ((lack of capability to give)) are what brought down our beloved nation, which was distinguished and pointed out among its peers from dear Arab countries, all dear to my heart as long as I live.
I search ((with the lantern)) for bright corners in my beloved country—which deserves all beauty—to shine the light on them in admiration, gratitude, and thank you to those who accomplished, distinguished, and as motivation ((for the sleeping ones)) hoping they awaken and emulate.
