Khaberni - Data from the Department of Statistics showed a net registration of 48,403 job opportunities created in the Jordanian labor market during the first half of 2025, with expectations of reaching approximately 100,000 job opportunities by the end of the year, driven by the expansion of job opportunities in the productive sectors and the improvement in local demand for labor.
The data indicated that Jordanians accounted for 94% of these opportunities, recording a growth of 11% compared to the first half of 2024, reflecting an improvement in the national economy's ability to generate sustainable employment opportunities and absorb local labor.
Conversely, the net job creation for non-Jordanians decreased by 56% compared to the first half of 2024, reflecting an increased reliance on national labor within the labor market.
The net number of job opportunities created is calculated by subtracting the total number of jobs that were left from the total number of jobs acquired by individuals during the same time period, which amounts to six months.
