Huda Shaarawis family denies the involvement of a third party in the crime

Khaberni - The family of the Syrian artist Huda Shaarawi has settled the controversy over the involvement of a third party in her murder, confirming that the maid committed the crime alone, without any accomplice or mastermind, denying what was circulated on social media platforms.

The late artist's daughter's husband, Ghassan Hariri, and her grandson, Ahmad Hariri, explained that the investigations revealed a letter written by the maid in her own handwriting before committing the crime, indicating premeditation and determination to kill, despite the good treatment she received from the family.

The family confirmed that the maid did not suffer any psychological or mental disorders, and she was treated as a member of the family, and all medical examinations were conducted before the crime occurred to ensure her health condition.

According to the family, the Ugandan maid committed the murder using a "mortar" to hit Huda Shaarawi's head before smashing it, and later attempted to set the house on fire, indicating premeditation of the crime.

Ghassan Hariri denied the rumors about deporting the maid to her home country, Uganda, for investigation, confirming that her trial would take place inside Syria, emphasizing the family’s full trust in the Syrian judiciary, and that justice will take its course to reclaim the rights of the deceased artist.

On his part, Huda Shaarawi's grandson, Ahmad Hariri, expressed his gratitude to the artists, audience, and fans of the artist for attending the funeral rites and offering condolences, considering that this solidarity reflects Shaarawi's status, fame, and her audience's love for her.
