Khaberni - Mohammed Zaid Al-Nabali, Vice President of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the private sector institutions, along with the Private Sector Coordination Council, are making significant and escalating efforts to alleviate the severe crisis at the Al-Karamah crossing with Jordan, indicating continuous communication with the Jordanian government agencies and various mediators and national personalities to find practical solutions as soon as possible.
Al-Nabali explained in statements to the media that the Palestinian private sector is exerting pressure from all directions to end this problem that has burdened the Palestinian citizen, expressing hope that these efforts will soon culminate in an achievement that will be announced immediately upon its realization.
Regarding the nature of the proposed solutions, he indicated that the ongoing understandings include increasing the working hours on the bridge, in addition to reorganizing and arranging the reception procedures through the platform and waiting halls on the Jordanian side, ensuring the accommodation of the increasing numbers of travelers and organizing their movement, and reducing cases of fatigue and suffering.
Al-Nabali added that there is Jordanian interest in establishing a comprehensive organizational plan that ensures more efficient and dignified travel, affirming that the primary goal is to enable the Palestinian to travel with dignity and without hardship.
