Khaberni - The family of the Syrian artist Huda Shaarawi revealed new details about the incident of her murder by her maid, in an incident that shook the artistic community during the past few hours.
The late artist's daughter's husband, Ghassan Hariri, and her grandson, Ahmed Hariri, stated in press statements that the investigations revealed the existence of a letter written by the maid before carrying out the crime, indicating a premeditated intention and determination to kill.
Ghassan Hariri mentioned that the investigations clarified that the maid acted alone without any instigator or third party behind the incident, confirming that her trial would be conducted inside Syria, and she would not be deported to her country, Uganda.
Hariri expressed the family's complete trust in the Syrian judiciary, affirming that justice would take its course and that the rights of the late artist would be reclaimed through legal procedures.
On his part, the late artist's grandson, Ahmed Hariri, thanked the public for attending the funeral and participating in offering condolences, considering this solidarity as a reflection of the late artist's status and love amongst her audience.
Ahmed Hariri confirmed that the family is committed to the legal process, and the rights of his grandmother would be reclaimed according to judicial procedures.
Denial of Psychological Disorders
The family denied any psychological disorders or mental imbalances in the accused, noting that she was treated as a member of the family, and necessary medical tests were conducted to ensure her health before the incident occurred.
The family added that the maid committed the crime and subsequently attempted to set the house on fire, in a serious development that underlined the gravity of the incident.
