Amr Saad Shocks His Audience Releasing My Last Work and Retiring from Drama Afterward

Khaberni - Amro Saad, the Egyptian artist, surprised his audience and followers by deciding to retire from TV drama presentations, confirming that the series "Release," airing next Ramadan, is his last dramatic work.

Amro wrote a post on his personal Facebook account, stating: "From the series Release, a huge daily effort, so that I can leave the television field from next year feeling that I have presented a work worthy of Egypt."

Saad added: "I hope to make you happy and proud of a series that represents Egyptian drama in all Arab countries and is fitting for our great history, which has brought great stars to the Arab people, not great lies."

In the series "Release" Ramadan 2026, Amro Saad plays the character Abbas Al-Rais in a social folk drama inspired by a true story, which carries a dose of mystery and suspense about the nature of the story and the course of events, as appeared in the work's promo released in recent days.

The series' crew includes a group of stars including Amro Saad, Abdelaziz Makhyoun, Sama Ibrahim, Tara Emad, Hatem Salah, Alaa Morsi, Sara Baraka, Sherif Al-Dosouki, Safwa, Basant Shawky, Jihad Hossam El Din, Ahmed Abdelhamid, Dunya Maher, Reda Idris, Omar El-Saeed, and the series is written by Ahmed Halaba, Mohamed Fawzi, Ahmed Bakr, produced by Sadek El Sabah, and directed by Ahmed Khaled Moussa.
