Khaberni - The messaging app "WhatsApp," owned by Meta, is developing a new optional subscription that allows access to exclusive premium features.
This subscription, which will be available in a future version of the app for Android users, will enable users to benefit from additional capabilities, providing a richer user experience that goes beyond the basic app features.
The subscription includes some exclusive features, such as exclusive stickers, the ability to pin more than 3 chats, customize the app icon, and a special set of new ring tones for chats, according to "WABetaInfo," a site specialized in WhatsApp updates.
These are just an initial set of features, and more may be added later based on user feedback. However, since this subscription is still under development, some features and details may be modified before the official release.
In addition, this premium subscription will be optional, meaning users will not be forced to subscribe unless they wish to enhance their experience according to their preferences.
"WhatsApp" is currently planning to provide access to this subscription via a waiting list. Once users join the waiting list, they will receive a notification when the subscription becomes available. If users choose to subscribe, they will be able to explore a rich set of new features designed to enhance the existing capabilities of the app.
Meta has already confirmed to "Tech Crunch" its plans to launch the "WhatsApp" subscription.
The option to customize the app icon, within the subscription, will allow users to choose their preferred app icon from among multiple new options provided by "WhatsApp," enabling users to customize the appearance of the app on their devices in more ways.
