Firas Ibrahim criticizes the absence of stars at Huda Shaarawi's funeral
Firas Ibrahim wondered, in an interview with the ET program in Arabic, about the reason for the absence of many Syrian stars from the funeral of the late artist, affirming that there is no explanation for it.
And Firas Ibrahim said: "Is there no one else but me present? Honestly, there is no explanation, except what the audience says in the comments that they see hardly anyone at these occasions except me and two or three others."
He pointed out that some went on to say that his presence at these occasions is due to his lack of work commitments, explaining that some believe that if he were busy, he would not attend. He continued: "It has become unfortunate that those who do their duty find some people making excuses for why they do their duty."
Firas Ibrahim clarified his stance on the matter, emphasizing that he believed all colleagues would be present, even those who were busy with filming were expected to stop that day, saying: "Not just because Huda Shaarawi died, but because she was killed."
Firas Ibrahim stressed that in such cases, attendance is not a personal choice, but a humanitarian and ethical stance, especially with the tragic and shocking nature of Huda Shaarawi's death.
Firas Ibrahim concluded his statement: "Because it's not only Huda Shaarawi who passed away, but she was killed in a tragic way. Her death wasn't natural to be just a matter of condolences and may God have mercy on her, then everyone returns to their life. No... The situation requires a stance and a questioning about what happened. How can a woman of her age and this brilliance exit in such a devastating way?"
