Real Madrid sets the age for signings at 20 years

Khaberni -  Spanish media confirmed that Real Madrid has made a strategic decision to make radical changes to its human composition, as part of the preparations for the 2026-2027 season, with the management now seeing that the future team layout needs to be different to meet local and continental competition requirements.

According to As newspaper, the club's policy in the next phase will focus on investing in players under 20 years of age, considering them the cornerstone for a long-term project, in addition to signing players over this age if they are available on a free transfer, ensuring a balance between quality and financial sustainability.

It added: "Real Madrid's management places strengthening the defensive line and midfield as its top priorities, with plans to sign one or two central defenders, along with a midfielder, in the belief that these positions currently represent the biggest concern inside the team."

It pointed out that the club is expected to clearly focus on these two positions during the summer transfer market, despite being aware of the difficulty of some files, like the deal with Portuguese Vitinha as Paris Saint Germain holds onto his services, along with following a young talent like Kais Smith, who is generating increasing interest within the club corridors."

The Madrid management believes that the team needs a different type of players in the upcoming stage, specifically those capable of thinking and making decisions while possessing the ball, aligning with the play identity they aim to re-establish on the field.
