With 65 Billion Washington Approves Arms Deals for Israel

Khaberni - The US administration announced that it approved potential military sales to Israel worth over $6.5 billion under three separate contracts.

The Pentagon stated in two separate reports that the US Department of State approved a potential sale of light tactical vehicles and related equipment at an estimated cost of $1.98 billion, and another deal for the sale of 30 AH-64E Apache helicopters valued at $3.8 billion.

A third military contract was granted valued at $740 million.

The US State Department stated, "The United States is committed to Israel’s security, and it is vital to the US national interests to assist Israel in developing and maintaining a robust and credible defensive capability."

It added, "This proposed deal aligns with those goals" and indicated that it had informed Congress about the sale.

The main contractor in the first deal is AM General, while Boeing and Lockheed Martin are the main contractors for the Apache helicopter sales.

These deals are part of a new package of weapons for Israel, which US President Donald Trump has pledged to strongly support.

The United States sends military supplies worth billions of dollars annually to Israel, most of which are in the form of "aid" and not sales.

Washington sponsored a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas following two years of mass genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The Trump administration announced that the ceasefire has entered its second phase, which specifically includes the disarmament of Hamas and Israel's withdrawal from additional areas in Gaza.
