On the Anniversary of His Majesty the Commanders Birthday
Author: الشيخ محمد فنيخر البري

Friday shines with the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect and guard him, the "64th," where His Majesty led the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with all wisdom and visionary insight for the future, believing in his people and their ability to build and innovate. His Majesty embodied the core Hashemite values that illuminate the path of this beloved nation. May each year find you in thousands of blessings, our lord, may God preserve and protect you and keep you as a treasure and support for the nation and for the Arab and Islamic nations. A blessed birthday, God willing, with all goodness, my great lord.

On my behalf and on behalf of the sons of my tribe, the Al-Bari Tribe in the northwestern desert, I extend to the esteemed presence of His Majesty the supreme commander the sincerest feelings of congratulations on his birthday, which continued the path of his predecessor to perpetuate the achievements of the nation in all fields with the support of the Hashemites and their constant giving and sacrifice. This occasion has a special fragrance this year as we soon witness two decades since His Majesty the supreme commander assumed his constitutional powers, during which Jordan experienced a unique stability amidst a region full of conflicts. Jordan, both leadership and people, set a model in dealing with the surrounding dangers, overcoming them strong and robust under his wise leadership, and the achievements in various fields continued and the story of glory that was written in the history of the Jordanian state since its establishment under the leadership of the Hashemites and their pioneering role in national and Arab and Islamic issues continued.

Days and events are defined by their significance and meanings, and when a nation celebrates a specific day of the year, it is closely linked to what this day brings with it, whether in the form of major achievements or signs of a new dawn that later becomes a turning point in the journey of that nation. From here comes the celebration of all Jordanians on the thirtieth of January each year; it is the day the late Hussein heralded a new Hashemite Arab dawn to all Jordanians, pledged by the great father king to serve his nation and hold its banner on the path of good, generosity, and renaissance, and indeed, this day was followed by effects as King Abdullah II, son of Hussein, the knight who continued the journey, announcing reform, modernization, comprehensive renaissance, and social justice as main headlines of his extended era, preserved and cared for by God and following the path of his noble ancestors, as a pioneering leader who defends the sanctity and carries the Arab right and continues the path of building and giving.

Indeed, His Majesty King Abdullah II led the Jordanian ship with determination and persistence, and His Majesty targeted not only conventional safety but also aimed with the emergence of each new dawn towards a great achievement being realized, and development continuing and expanding, and the internal front becoming increasingly robust and strong, and the results were truly astounding and honest.
His Majesty also managed to restore the priority of the Palestinian issue despite all the shifts in global interests and in all this and that, the explicit and implicit achievement was in favor of Jordan's role and its global and regional standing and the clarity of its position as a major, influential, and exceptionally credible international party and a constant of the region.

I can say: The leadership traits of His Majesty are the product of a wonderful blend of high values and noble ideals in two noble schools, the first always being the school of the pure household of Prophethood.

And His Majesty is a descendant and dean of it, and this school is the result of a noble mission that views kings as sacrifice, redemption, and service to the nation, not just authority, and it is the same school that provided the Arab nation, in the modern era, with processions of leaders, revolutionaries, nobles, and martyrs, who raised the banner of renaissance and liberation and changed not. The second is the Jordanian military school, the Arab army, the heir to the Great Arab Revolt and bearer of its flag and values, and King Abdullah II son of this school, as he is its supreme commander, role model, and symbol.

This intellectual and practical background clearly defined the leadership traits of His Majesty, characterized by a series of qualities that distinguished his performance as a leader and king, most notably: clarity of purpose, precision in execution, constant and continuous follow-up, full empathy with others, insistence on helping them, advancing the importance to the field aspect, overcoming barriers and protocols, complete bias for the less fortunate, distancing from formalities, and immediately delving into the essence, tolerance and breadth of mind, final decisiveness at the appropriate time, noble humility in dealing with others, self-confidence, insistence on always owning the initiative, granting powers and bolstering the principle of decision-making ability among officials, remote monitoring, and a focus on constant evaluation and then direct intervention when needed.

These traits were essentially highlights of Jordanian leadership, represented by His Majesty King Abdullah II son of Hussein, and these traits had a clear impact on the making of Jordanian policies and respecting initiatives externally and internally in all political, social, economic, and knowledge domains. And Jordan, with its initiating leadership, managed to overcome major historical turns, to emerge from them stronger and more determined, and to continue building its renaissance.

And it completes its developmental journey, with an unwavering will, fundamentally the will of a leader who completed all the traits and conditions of historical leaders, to whom the credit is attributed for the renaissance and advancement of their countries.
On the birthday of the pioneering leader, we stand in gratitude for what has been achieved and for a royal vision that shaped the features of the new Jordan. And our necks rise with pride and elation for a king who tamed the impossible and devoted his blessed efforts to serving his nation and elevating his country.

Finally, may God protect Jordan and perpetuate upon it the blessing of sound Hashemite rule, under the auspices of my lord His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein the Great.
