In the video Guardiola We must not forget decades of oppression in Palestine

Khaberni - Pep Guardiola, the technical director of Manchester City, continued his support for the Palestinian cause by participating in a solidarity event held in Barcelona, Spain.

A solidarity event was held at San Jordi in Barcelona, Spain, with the participation of 30 artists to support the Palestinian cause on Thursday evening.

This initiative was promoted by leading Palestinian organizations in the fields of human rights, humanitarian aid, and cultural activities, in cooperation with a broad network of European organizations.

The technical director appeared wearing a Palestinian scarf while delivering his speech to the attendees.

Guardiola stressed that what the people of Gaza are suffering has not been happening for just two years, but for decades.

Guardiola said in his message delivered on stage to the attendees,

Oh my God! Good evening, peace be upon you.

Oh my God! This is madness!

I think... let me say two things.

I think we believe... when I see a child over the past two years, with these images on social media, and on television, recording himself, crying, wondering where his mother is, and her lying dead on the road while he still doesn't know it.

I always think, what goes through their minds?

I think we left them alone, abandoned.

I always think they are saying: Where are you? Come and help us!

And so far, we haven't done it.

Maybe because the powerful are cowards since what they do is basically send the innocent to kill the innocent.

This is what cowards do.

Because they are in their homes, in their classrooms, in the freezing cold, and there are air conditioners making the environment warmer.

We need to step forward, and just being here is a great achievement.

The bombs, what they provoke and want to provoke, is silence.

They make us turn a blind eye.

They simply do so, they make us step back from moving forward.

And this is what we must fight for.

We simply need to stop turning a blind eye and engage in action.

We are here today, at Sant Jordi, in a place that will soon fill up, where you will look small compared to the greatness of this cause,

In a music concert where behind every sound, every tune, behind the piano, the trombone, and each musical piece,

We will undoubtedly remember not to forget what happened, not just in the last two years, but before decades, decades, decades of oppression, of lack of freedoms, of robbing what all people have the right to simply be what they want to be.

This... here in Barcelona, in a place that has witnessed many events, like the event we want to discuss, the refusal of war,

The fleet four days ago, in Barcelona, in 1938, when we were bombed,

And always today, as was the case in London and Paris, we stand before the world to show that we, clearly, are on the side of the weaker, and in this case, Palestine.

But not only Palestine, in all cases.

It is a statement for Palestine, and it is a statement for humanity.

Because simply, when someone in the Mediterranean is drowning because they were forced to leave their country against their will, and the organization "Open Arms" rescues them, you don't ask questions, but you save them so they can live a decent life, so they can survive.

Quite simply.

No questions should be asked.

Go and save this person.

Thank you for coming,

I wish you a wonderful concert, inspiring us all who express their wishes for a better life, for a better society.

Because all this is about humanity, which is everything that is not happening in Palestine.

Have a great evening, and enjoy.

This is not the first time that Pep has supported the Palestinian cause, as he stated before the friendly match between Palestine and the Catalan team: "The world has abandoned Palestine. We did nothing at all."

He added "It’s not their fault they were born. We allowed the annihilation of an entire people."

He continued "The damage has been done and cannot be repaired. We need to take more decisive action but I don’t trust these leaders."

He has also previously appeared in a video calling for demonstrations to support Gaza against genocide.
