With fiery statements Sheiakha attacks Petkovic and awaits the World Cup

Khaberni - Algerian international Amin Sheiakha released fiery statements about Swiss coach Vladimir Petkovic, the coach of his national team, and the team's players who play in his position.

The player, who moved to Rosenborg in Norway during the current winter transfer window, admitted that he was very upset about not being called up to participate in the recent Africa Cup of Nations finals.

In statements to the Danish newspaper "Bold," Sheiakha said: "Like any player with a competitive spirit, you think to yourself that you are better than the elements that were preferred over you."

He added: "Perhaps scoring only two goals in the league wasn't enough, but that does not negate that I was invited before, even though I did not score more than that."

He continued: "I have lived days of regret after not being invited to the Africa Cup, although my joining Vejle last summer was largely for African participation, but that was not enough."

Sheiakha continued, raising the severity of his statements, saying: "From here on out, I will not work to please anyone, I will make the choices that I see beneficial for me and my footballing career, which explains my decision to sign with Rosenborg."

He concluded: "Now I have 6 months to deliver the best possible performances, in order to earn a spot with the Algerian national team in the upcoming World Cup."

It is mentioned that Sheiakha joined Rosenborg a few days ago on a year-long loan, lasting until the winter of 2027, with an option for the Norwegian team to buy if he delivers convincing performances.
