Jordan Opening of tender offers to light up AlMiyah Street with solar energy

Khaberni - The spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Omar Al-Maharmeh, announced the opening of new tender offers to light "Al-Miyah Street" using solar energy, as part of the ministry's plan to improve the infrastructure on vital roads.

Al-Maharmeh confirmed that the tender is expected to be awarded within the next two weeks, with implementation work beginning within a month to a month and a half from the award date.

"Al-Miyah Street" is one of the vital roads, as it connects the capital Amman with the Zarqa Governorate, and represents an important international artery, especially as it is a main road leading to the new city of "Omrah," which the Jordanian government is preparing to construct as part of national development plans.

This measure comes in light of repeated complaints from citizens and road users about the low level of lighting, which currently operates at no more than 10% of the road's length, posing a risk to public safety.
