Water Minister to Employees Complete Citizen Transactions Without Revisiting Headquarters

 

Khaberni - Engineer Raed Abu Saud, the Minister of Water and Irrigation, emphasized during a meeting held via video conferencing platform on Wednesday with all Secretaries-General, company directors, water directors, technicians, and all employees in the water sector the need to implement the royal directives to the government in harmony with the economic modernization vision and water sector strategy, and improving the level of services provided to citizens in all regions of the kingdom to facilitate and simplify processes and provide effective service that reflects the water sector image while quickly resolving any complaints received by the water complaint center without delay.

The Minister of Water and Irrigation stressed the importance of serious and responsible engagement with citizens' feedback with utmost professionalism, responsibility, and good citizenship. He highlighted the importance of active communication with citizens in the field, conducting periodic inspections and surveys of areas regularly to ensure the quality of service, dealing with imbalances and complaints related to water leaks and sewage malfunctions, and ensuring regular water delivery. He urged activating collection teams on time so that it does not burden the citizens, calling for listening to the citizen reviewing any water facilities and administrations with high positivity, meeting their needs, and ensuring administrations and relevant officials maintain continuous communication with all entities in the provinces and regions to serve the citizens.

The Minister of Water and Irrigation noted that the citizen is a fundamental partner in the success of the water sector's efforts, urging the directors and officials in the water sector to grant powers to employees to perform their duties thoroughly and facilitate their tasks without revisiting headquarters to process their transactions and claims.

Minister of Water and Irrigation Engineer Raed Abu Saud added that the efforts achieved in reducing losses, securing new sources, and advancing national projects are a national accomplishment in which everyone participated to achieve national water security and provide water quantities and prevent violations, calling for further efforts in this field and ensuring the effectiveness of electronic services available around the clock, their ease of use, and their efficiency to reduce the burden on citizens.

The Minister pointed out that the water sector and its employees are exerting their utmost efforts and will continue to do their best to alleviate the water situation in light of available water resources and ensuring water delivery to citizens, praising the efforts made by those running the water sector, emphasizing continuous communication with the citizen comfortably, opening doors for them, facilitating their experience and providing good service, and spreading the ministry's message related to conserving water and its proper use for designated purposes. He added that the ministry works diligently to secure and provide sufficient quantities for all subscribers, commit to water roles for areas, and improve the efficiency of operation and maintenance to achieve the water sector strategy.
