Khaberni - A report by the "AS" newspaper revealed that the strong sports performance of the top clubs in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League (2025-2026) has directly reflected on their treasuries, as the trio "Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid" continue to reap huge profits.
Real Madrid at the Top
Real Madrid leads the Spanish clubs in terms of income, with profits reaching up to 41 million euros so far, benefiting from winning bonuses and their strong presence in the top eight (Top-8), in addition to leading the European ranking which grants them the lion's share of broadcasting revenue.
Barcelona and Atletico
Barcelona comes in second place locally with profits nearing 37 million euros, a figure similar to what Atletico Madrid achieved thanks to its four victories in the league stage. In contrast, Arsenal stands out as the club that has earned the most money in the tournament so far (33 million euros in direct sports profits) as it has not dropped any points.
The Philosophy of "Added Value"
The report clarified that the distribution of profits no longer depends only on results, but on a complex system called "Value Pillar", which integrates the broadcasting rights of countries with the historical ranking of clubs, explaining the superiority of clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City in total revenues despite sometimes stumbling in sports performance.
