Khaberni - Egyptian actress Zeina ignited a wave of controversy and speculation on social media, following her posting of a striking message, which followers believed hinted at the marriage of the artist Ahmed Ezz to a woman from outside the artistic community.
Zeina's post came in a sarcastic format without mentioning names, which opened the door to wide interpretations, and Zeina said via her official Instagram account, "Congratulate Abu Al-Walidin; he has married his assistant.. by which she will perform her work with more conscience, and it will save the salary, a very smart plan." Zeina did not specify anyone in particular in her post, which opened the door to widespread speculation among her audience.
Coincides with judicial developments
This controversy coincides with the issuance of a new judicial ruling, as the Supreme Family Appeal Court in Egypt obliged Ahmed Ezz to pay a monthly amount of 30,000 Egyptian pounds as servant wages in favor of Zeina, in a lawsuit she filed on the background of rising living costs.
The Fifth Settlement Family Appeals Court partially accepted Ezz's appeal against the previous ruling from the Nasr City Family Court, which obliged him to pay 80,000 Egyptian pounds monthly as comprehensive alimony for his twin children, and decided to reduce the amount to 60,000 pounds per month, while keeping the servant wages as an independent item from the basic alimony.
According to legal sources, Zeina based her lawsuit on official documents indicating an increase in Ahmed Ezz's income over the recent years, due to his participation in major artistic and advertising works, considering that this necessitates reassessing the alimony to match the living standard.
The dispute dates back to 2014
The roots of the judicial dispute between the parties trace back to 2014, when Zeina resorted to the judiciary to prove the lineage of her twin children, before a final judgment was issued confirming the lineage, and she later obtained a ruling of khul' (divorce) in 2017, followed by continued legal disputes regarding alimony and school expenses.

On the artistic front, Ahmed Ezz continues his notable presence in the film scene, following the announcement of his new movie "7 Dogs", starring alongside Karim Abdel Aziz and featuring Italian star Monica Bellucci.
The latest cinematic appearance for Ezz was through the third part of the movie "Sons of Rizk", which achieved widespread popular success.
In contrast, Zeina continues her artistic activity, following the success of her series "In the Story of Someone - Roses and Chocolate", shown on the Yango Play platform, and she is preparing to release her new movie "The Clever Devil" in the upcoming period.
