Morgue Girl Video Ignites Rage Among Egyptians and a Decisive Response from the Actors Syndicate

Khaberni - A video of a young girl in a morgue, taking pictures and videos next to corpses, has sparked widespread outrage in the Egyptian street due to her blatant violation of the sanctity of the deceased and the dignity of medical facilities, leading activists to demand accountability for the girl and the entity that allowed her to enter and film in this manner.

As rumors circulated about the girl being part of the artistic community or being a "rising actress," the Actors Syndicate quickly intervened to put an end to the commotion.

The Actors Syndicate in Egypt stated in its announcement that the girl shown in the video does not belong to the syndicate in any way, is not a member of it, nor does she engage in any artistic activity under its umbrella, emphasizing that the syndicate bears no responsibility whatsoever for this behavior, either in form or content.

The syndicate expressed its full respect for the nursing profession and all workers in the medical sector, appreciating their humanitarian and professional role, affirming that such noble professions should not be implicated or insulted by individual actions lacking in responsibility and adherence to professional values.

The statement emphasized the absolute rejection of any content that violates human values or desecrates the sanctity of the dead or contravenes laws and professional norms, indicating that the syndicate is following up on the incident's circumstances, preparing to take the necessary legal actions.

Legal Action
In a related context, a lawyer filed an official complaint with the relevant authorities against the woman shown in the video, demanding an urgent investigation and accountability of those involved, due to the video’s severe violation of the sanctity of the dead and misuse of social media platforms.

The lawyer, Ashraf Farahat, stated to local media that the incident involves several violations punishable by law, asserting his intention to take all necessary legal actions, regardless of the case's nuances.

He explained that if it is confirmed that the woman is a nurse and appeared in her official uniform inside the morgue, it constitutes a direct insult to one of the state's institutions, primarily the Ministry of Health and the Nursing Authority, as it distorts the professional handling of the deceased.

He added that if it turns out she is a "blogger" who filmed the clip aiming for high viewership, she bears full legal responsibility for publishing content that violates the sanctity of the dead and misuses social media channels.

He mentioned that if the video is proven to be a dramatic scene within a theatrical work, it represents a serious transgression that cannot be justified artistically or ethically, likely prompting intervention by the relevant authorities and halting the work if proven so.

Details of the Incident
The incident traces back to a video clip no longer than 20 seconds, showing a woman in a nursing uniform inside a morgue of a hospital, laughing and filming a video next to one of the deceased, described by observers as shocking and offensive.

The video has caused a broad wave of dismay, amid calls for an urgent investigation, determining legal responsibilities, and holding accountable anyone proven to be involved in the incident, to preserve the sanctity of the deceased and the sanctity of medical institutions.
