AlIssawi Improving the living conditions of citizens is a royal priority

Khaberni  - The Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Al-Issawi, affirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah II gives special attention to Irbid governorate, as well as the other governorates of the kingdom, within a steadfast royal approach based on direct communication with citizens, listening to their opinions and remarks, and directing the relevant bodies to translate these into developmental programs and projects that contribute to improving the level of services provided to them and thus enhancing their living and social stability.

This was stated during his meeting, on Sunday, at the Royal Hashemite Court with about 250 individuals from Irbid, in a meeting held under royal directives, following His Majesty's visit to the governorate last Tuesday.

During the meeting, which was attended by King's advisor for tribal affairs Kenaan Al-Balawi and managed by the governor of Irbid, Radwan Al-Atoum, Al-Issawi emphasized that His Majesty's engagement in political and diplomatic efforts to defend the supreme national interests and the just causes of the nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the protection of Jerusalem and its holy sites, does not prevent his keenness on local Jordanian affairs and the details of citizens' issues, believing that the strength and cohesion of Jordan are fundamental in supporting the issues of the nation.

Al-Issawi pointed out that the Jordanian citizen is considered the real capital for His Majesty, and that preserving their dignity and enhancing their living standards are a national priority in all policies and programs. He noted that the current economic challenges require practical solutions and balanced development that includes all governorates and relies on justice and integration between state institutions and the private sector.

He explained that royal directives related to the Irbid governorate focused on supporting developmental projects and vital sectors, enhancing the service dimension, and exploiting the competitive advantages of the governorate, contributing to stimulating the local economy and providing job opportunities for its people.

Al-Issawi stated that royal initiatives over the past years have implemented a large number of projects in various areas of the governorate, including sectors of education, youth, health, social development, and infrastructure, supporting civil society institutions, and enhancing sustainable local development, stressing that a large number of royal initiatives have been completed in recent years and handed over to the beneficiaries and entities responsible for their operation, in addition to many initiatives that are under execution and others that will soon begin, confirming that royal initiatives will continue in Irbid and all other governorates of the kingdom.

Al-Issawi reviewed the government's plan, which was agreed upon following a cabinet meeting in the governorate at the end of 2024, extending for three years until 2027, and includes projects in various sectors at a cost approximating 700 million dinars, including the construction of (18) new schools, execution of the central vegetable market project in partnership with the private sector, completion of the Irbid ring road, and the rehabilitation and expansion of roads and hospitals, and health centers, in addition to immediate response to the royal directions during the last royal visit to the governorate for establishing an advanced center for cancer treatment in the new Princess Basma Hospital in cooperation with Al Hussein Cancer Center.

During the meeting, the attendees from notables and dignitaries and representatives of the Irbid governorate expressed their appreciation for the royal approach based on direct communication with citizens, affirming their rallying around the Hashemite leadership and appreciating the development witnessed by the governorate in various sectors.

They appreciated the recent royal visit by His Majesty King Abdullah II to the governorate, affirming that it constituted an important station reflecting the Hashemite leadership's approach based on direct communication with citizens, addressing their needs, and directing the relevant authorities to translate national priorities into tangible projects, according to priorities and available resources.

They expressed their great appreciation for the projects inaugurated by His Majesty during the visit, and for his direct directives, foremost among them the establishment of a specialized cancer treatment center in the new hospital, alongside a suite of directives aimed at improving the level of healthcare and living services, and enhancing the quality of life in the governorate.

In related context, the attendees congratulated His Majesty on the occasion of his upcoming birthday, expressing pride in the Hashemite leadership, and affirming that this occasion represents an opportunity to renew their commitment to rally around the leadership and support its efforts in facing challenges.
