Khaberni - Arab Amman University, being keen on enhancing communication between students and graduates and the exchange of practical experiences, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Widian, the university president, and with support from the Dean of the College of Aviation Sciences, Professor Dr. Malik Al-Salem Al-Anaqreh, hosted the graduate Engineer Khaled Al-Habarna, to deliver a lecture titled "Preparing Aviation Sciences College Students for the Labor Market – A Success Story", through the Teams platform, with the aim of instilling the practical dimension in the educational process and enhancing the technical competencies of its students, aligning with the needs and requirements of the labor market.
The workshop addressed several key aspects related to the requirements of the labor market in the aviation sector, focusing on the most important skills and competencies that students of the College of Aviation Sciences must possess to enhance their chances in competition and achieve professional excellence. The workshop also highlighted the practical aspects that companies and institutions in the aviation sector consider when attracting competencies, reviewing the professional foundations followed in work environments, mechanisms for career development, and ways to plan a successful professional path that matches the aspirations of those working in this vital sector.
In this regard, Engineer Al-Habarna emphasized the importance of adhering to professional standards and discipline at work during the workshop, indicating that success in the aviation sector requires an integration between scientific competence, personal skills, and continuous development capability. He reviewed his professional experience and success story, discussing his career progression over the years of his work, and the challenges and achievements that helped hone his expertise and his taking on advanced positions in the field of aviation.
At the end of the workshop, Engineer Al-Habarna gave valuable advice to the students of the College of Aviation Sciences, stressing the need to focus on self-development and skill refinement, special care in mastering the English language due to its pivotal role in the aviation sector, as well as the importance of starting early in completing the requirements for obtaining the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certificate in the parts completed by the students in their academic journey, as this would positively impact their job opportunities locally and internationally.
This workshop is part of a series of activities and events conducted by the College of Aviation Sciences at Arab Amman University, aimed at linking the academic aspect with practical reality, and preparing its students to meet the requirements of the labor market and effectively contribute to the development of the aviation sector.
