Lincoln Aircraft Carrier Heads to Arabian Sea Iran Threatens to Strike American Bases

Khaberni - Iran warned that any hostile action against it will be met with a broad response targeting American bases in the region, amid concerns of an open confrontation.

An Iranian official stated, "Any attack on Iran will be considered a declaration of war against it and will be dealt with on that basis," adding "We will respond with full force to any aggression and all American bases in the region will be legitimate targets for us."

He confirmed that "Iran is in full readiness and will use all its capabilities to confront any aggression against it."
In terms of field movements, the "Associated Press" quoted an official in the US Navy saying that the aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln" and three destroyers accompanying it have arrived in the Indian Ocean from the South China Sea, on their way to the Arabian Sea.

The official added that the aircraft carrier will join destroyers stationed in the Gulf.

The aircraft carrier group includes about 5,000 sailors and marines, along with squadrons of jet fighters, helicopters, and electronic attack aircraft, according to the "CBS" newspaper.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed on Thursday that "a significant number of ships are moving towards the Middle East in preparation for any contingencies," indicating that Washington is closely monitoring the situation in Iran.

In turn, the US Central Command announced the presence of "F-15E Strike Eagle" fighters in the region to bolster readiness.

This logistical activity resembles what occurred last year when "Patriot" missile systems were moved to the region following the bombing of three key nuclear sites.
