Khaberni - The Japan national team won the U-23 Asian Cup held in Saudi Arabia, having defeated their Chinese counterparts with four unanswered goals in the final match, held on Saturday at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal City Stadium in Jeddah.
Yuto Oizuki scored for "Japanese Samurai" in the 12th minute, Ogura scored in the 20th and 76th minutes, and Ryunosuke Sato scored in the 59th minute from a penalty.
The Vietnamese team achieved third place after defeating South Korea on Friday with a penalty shootout score of 7-6 following a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time.
This is the third title for the Japanese team in the history of the tournament and the second consecutive one, after having previously won the cup in 2016 and 2024.
