Karak, the Karak of history and glory, the divine Karak, impregnable, its walls cannot be breached, or (( the halos of its characters )) by any lurker or stalker aiming to undermine its dignity, nobility, authenticity, and glorious, ancient history, and importantly, in Karak, not to undermine the dignity of our beloved country or try to cause harm to it and its great history.
The American Ambassador Mr. / James Holtsnaider, the ambassador of the United States of America, has all the respect and appreciation from ((all official entities)), as long as ((official Jordan)) has accepted his credentials as the ambassador of his country. This is despite the reservations Jordanian observers have about his character and his intentions and goals and history. But all this means nothing and has no value as long as he has become the ambassador of his country, accredited to the Hashemite Jordanian court.
Sometimes, simple and perhaps obvious matters are overlooked by senior officials. It is fundamental that one weighs the words — especially praise and welcome — he hears, evaluates them, and treasures them by associating them with the speaker.
It seems that Mr. / James was deceived by those around him from his embassy, and he also erred against himself by not weighing the matters properly, evaluating them, and giving them the rightful amount of thought and scrutiny.
Indeed, Mr. / James has spread over not insignificant areas of the homeland, was invited, and participated in many events, where nothing was left but for him to lead a delegation and ask for a bride, or reconcile a discord. Yet, he failed to weigh matters with their proper scale, analyze their dimensions, and deduce what he should have deduced, even though he is the ambassador of the greatest country on Earth. A country unchallenged, not accounting for anyone. A country that abducts state leaders and their wives from their bedrooms, and brings them shackled, humiliated, and degraded to their country, and begins to try them according to American law, even though they are not American in the slightest. Yet the whole world was silenced, and all leaders muzzled, and no one dared to utter a word. Even more, many world leaders began to feel themselves and brace for all possibilities.
Mr. / James missed evaluating those who invited him, their significance, impact, and interaction in the Jordanian scene. It seems that Mr. / James has an Arab gene, for he became exhilarated, was deceived, and became emotional when he was told more than once: (( Ahlan and sahlan welcome among your peers and your group and your people ))! How!? How did he read it!? Who translated it for him!? And did he believe the saying or was he deceived!?
Even though I know for about five decades that ambassadors from Western countries undergo awareness training, and lectures about the country where they will represent their nations, if they do not master the language of the country to which they are going, a trustworthy translator of assured allegiance accompanies them, as they are taught some phrases of that country's dialect and customs, indeed some diplomats know the language of the country where they represent their nations and completely hide that fact and pretend they do not know even a single word of that country's language.
He should have questioned and analyzed the phrase (( Ahlan and sahlan to you among your peers and your group ))! It should have been clear to him that it’s an interrupting sentence with no practical value or meaning. Then he should have ((hit the brakes)), the size of a 22-wheel truck’s brake, and say: What am I doing!? What's the point!? And could this lead to embarrassing bumps for me!?
And here is Mr. / James facing two embarrassing rejection situations within approximately one week. One situation during the condolence of the late Dr. / Abdullah Al-Damour, and days later, during the condolence of the late Basha / Ibrahim Al-Sarayrah.
This demonstrates that there is a broad base of rejection for his visits in the Jordanian street — and it might be significant — because if things had stopped at the first rejection, one would say: the reason is that the condolence of Dr. Abdullah is logically expected to include an apology because Dr. Abdullah was a man of nationalist thought and approach, and it cannot be lost on his family what America did in Gaza, and when it invaded Iraq and deliberately destroyed it, and handed it over on a golden platter inlaid with the most precious gemstones to Iran.
But the second apology incident came during the condolence of a man who held the rank of lieutenant general, and who was not politicized at all, how did this happen!? And what are the reasons and motivations behind it!?
I suggest to Mr. / James that he change this approach so that the apologies are not repeated, and the matter does not become more embarrassing for him personally and officially. Unless there is a great goal that Mr. / James is striving to achieve regardless of the cost he will face from embarrassment and others.
It seems that apologies for receiving the American ambassador will be repeated, as it appears that the man is insisting very strongly perhaps because he intends to achieve important goals from this approach. And the breakthrough will happen, and he will be welcomed to offer condolences, somewhere within the angles of our beloved country.
Two blows to the head hurt. And it is not unlikely that there will be harsh consecutive blows, not spaced apart, so does Mr. / James guarantee that repetition does not pose a danger!?
The astute person should not be bitten from the same hole twice. Because he who is bitten twice faces two problems. The first problem: It shows that he does not learn. And the second problem: It may lead him to weakness or lose the ability to endure and control.
Thank you to my national, Karakite family, because they elevated the condolences of the deceased, and did not deviate from their intended purpose, which is to accept the decree of God, and rely on the feelings of Jordanians to alleviate the pain of loss, without diverting it to vague political objectives.
The most important and dangerous as I foresee, we may witness contradictory stances between those advocating for apologizing to Mr. / James, and opponents who will welcome him whether by focusing on inviting him to celebrate him, or by accepting his participation in their condolences. Hoping that this does not happen at all so as not to reflect on our sacred national cohesion.
Mr. / James, as we are a country that respects international conventions and treaties, you deserve all the respect, as required by diplomatic norms, according to the Geneva Convention, which ((regulates and controls)) the movement of ambassadors in the host countries. And we wish you a pleasant stay in our beloved country, and I hope you abstain from this rejected act by the majority of Jordanians, because I (believe) that it will not lead you to anything that is idle in your mind. And may God protect beloved Jordan from the malice of the malicious and the surveillance of the watchers... Amen.
