Jordanian Parliament King Hussein Bridge Congestion Due to Israeli Side

Khaberni - The head of the Parliamentary Palestine Committee, Suleiman Al-Saud, explained that the recurring congestions on the King Hussein Bridge are due to obstacles from the Israeli side, most notably the setting of operating hours at the crossing and imposing restrictions on the number of buses leaving from Jordan, leading to bottlenecks, especially during peak times, and exacerbating the suffering of travelers and prolonging waiting periods.

Al-Saud confirmed during a visit by the committee to the King Hussein Bridge on Thursday that this situation necessitates extending the working hours at the crossing and eliminating the restrictions imposed on the number of buses, as this has a direct effect in improving the smoothness of travel movement and alleviating the recurring crises.

The committee held a meeting during the visit with those concerned at the bridge, where they received a detailed explanation about the mechanisms of operation and services provided, and the efforts made to facilitate the crossing movement, especially during peak times.

The visit of the Parliamentary Palestine Committee, including the leader of the Azm Party faction, Deputy Walid Al-Masri, and Deputy Hayel Ayash, to the King Hussein Bridge, was to observe the ongoing procedures and the level of services provided to travelers.

Al-Saud conveyed greetings from the Speaker of the House of Representatives and its members to the staff of the King Hussein Bridge, appreciating their significant efforts in facilitating travel movement and providing the best services, particularly regarding facilitating the movement of Palestinian pilgrims, in accordance with the royal directives.

The deputies, Suleiman Al-Saud, Walid Al-Masri, and Hayel Ayash expressed their satisfaction with the efforts and advanced capabilities that contribute to facilitating the movement of Palestinian brothers and alleviating their suffering, praising the extensive facilities provided to them.
