Khaberni - Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Thursday that the only possible future for Iran lies in "regime change," confirming that the Iranian people long for this change.
Since 28 December, Iran has witnessed protests due to economic hardships, but they expanded across the country by 8 January.
Herzog said in a meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, "The Iranian people yearn for change. The Iranian people deserve change."
He added, "The future of the Iranian people can only be with a change of regime, and it must happen... according to the will of the Iranian people and with the support of the international community."
The Israeli president continued, "It is clear to me that the Ayatollah regime is in a very fragile situation."
The official Iranian television reported on Wednesday that a total of 3,117 people were killed during the wave of protests.
