Saudi who killed his father and another who stabbed a driver both receive the death penalty

Khaberni  -  The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday the execution of the death penalty on two citizens in two separate crimes, revealing some details of what they were convicted of.

The Interior said in a statement: "Manaahi bin Muzkir bin Mohammed bin Manaahi Al-Shahrani -a Saudi national- proceeded to kill his father by stabbing him with a sharp object, leading to his death. By the grace of God, the security agencies managed to apprehend the mentioned perpetrator, and investigation concluded with him being charged this crime. Upon his referral to the competent court, a verdict was issued finding him guilty of the attributed crimes, resulting in a retributive execution. The ruling became final after an appeal and further confirmation by the Supreme Court, followed by a royal decree to enforce what was legally determined. Consequently, the execution was carried out on Tuesday dated 1/8/1447 AH, corresponding to 20/1/2026 in the Asir region."

In a separate statement, the Interior declared: "Jasim bin Adel bin Moutouq Al-Rajab -a Saudi national- proceeded to kill Yusuf bin Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Rajib -a Saudi national-, by deceiving him under the pretense of giving him a ride in his vehicle and then suddenly stabbing him multiple times with a sharp object, causing his death. By the grace of God, security agencies managed to apprehend the mentioned perpetrator, and upon investigation, he was charged with committing the crime. Upon his referral to the competent court, a verdict was issued finding him guilty of premeditated murder through deceit, considering the act involved trickery and deceit in a manner that reassured the victim of his safety. Given that the act constitutes an extremely heinous crime and poses a significant threat to people’s lives, honor, and properties, he was sentenced to death by decapitation for murder through treachery. The ruling became final following an appeal and further confirmation by the Supreme Court, followed by a royal decree to enforce what was legally determined. Consequently, the execution was carried out on Tuesday dated 1/8/1447 AH, corresponding to 20/1/2026 in the Eastern region."

The Interior added: "With this announcement, the Ministry aims to reassure everyone of the commitment of the Saudi government to maintaining security, achieving justice, and enforcing Islamic legal judgments on anyone who infringes upon the safety of citizens, spills their blood, and violates their right to life. The Ministry also warns anyone contemplating such actions that they will face legal punishment.. And God guides us to the right path."
