Khaberni - Actor Nidal El Shafei announced on his Facebook account the passing of his mother in the early hours of today, following a health crisis she experienced over the past few days.
Nidal wrote a post saying: "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. My dearest person, my mother, has passed to the mercy of Allah. The funeral prayer will be held after Dhuhr prayer from Al-Bahjat Dreamland Mosque, and burial will be at the family’s cemetery in Al-Waha route. I ask you to pray for her mercy and forgiveness."
Nidal has received numerous condolence comments from his audience and colleagues, praying for the departed’s mercy and forgiveness.

Nidal El Shafei had spoken during his appearance on the Mirror program, hosted by media personality Khaled Faraj on his private YouTube channel, about a special spiritual experience he had during the farewell to his late wife Hind Mohamed Ali. He confirmed that the moment of her burial gave him an unexpected sense of serenity and tranquility, despite the harshness of the situation and the pain of separation.
El Shafei explained that descending into the grave to bury his wife was the first experience of its kind in his life, yet he was surprised not to feel terror or desolation, contrary to what he had expected, noting that he felt an inner peace and tranquility he described as "Divine kindness."
He added that this feeling eased the severity of the pain inside him, making him feel as though he was transporting someone dear to a safer and more peaceful place, considering that moment to be impactful and unique in its meaning, and it gave him a degree of steadiness amidst feelings of loss.
El Shafei mentioned that faith had always been his refuge in facing this ordeal, asserting that he finds solace and support in the Holy Quran during times of hardship, noting that remembrance was on his lips from the moment he received the news of the death, as he spontaneously kept repeating "Ya Latif," without any prior planning or thought.
