Khaberni - The Turkish scene is witnessing a state of controversy and widespread interaction, following a new wave of arrests affecting well-known figures from the worlds of business, media, and social networking sites, as part of extensive investigations related to drug consumption and trafficking cases.

Istanbul police, on Tuesday, January 20 (January), launched a large-scale security operation, resulting in the detention of several prominent names, in a step described as one of the largest campaigns targeting celebrity circles in recent times.

Among the names detained, according to several local media, including the Turkish site "kanal3": Bilal Hangi, one of the most famous influencers on social media and a member of the "Kavalar" group; Ibrahim Barout, son of Nazih Barout, owner of "Abdi Ibrahim," one of Turkey's largest pharmaceutical companies; Mohamed Oustundag, a writer at Hurriyet newspaper; and Abdullah Gincal, a prominent name in business circles.

Investigation details
The reports clarified that the operation is part of an ongoing investigation with charges related to "drug consumption and distribution," indicating that the case file includes names of three other suspects who are outside the country, with expectations of arrest warrants being issued against them in the upcoming period.

After subjecting the detainees to necessary medical examinations, they were transferred to the Drug Enforcement Branch of the Istanbul Security Directorate, in preparation for their interrogation and to complete the legal procedures.

The case continues to resonate widely in the Turkish media and economic circles, amid anticipation of what the investigations will yield in the coming hours and days.

Extensive controversy and a long list
During recent weeks, the names of artistic and influential figures within Turkish society have been circulated in the ongoing extensive campaign of arrests and search, among them are singer Alina Tilki, beauty influencer Danla Bilic, and actress Irem Sak; arrest warrants were issued against actress and model Melisa Dongel and pop singer Yusuf Guney.

Turkish authorities also detained famous Turkish actor Can Yaman during a wide-scale security campaign targeting 9 nightclubs in Istanbul, and the actor underwent blood tests at the Forensic Medicine Institute based on prosecution instructions, before being quickly released by the authorities without any judicial restrictions, allowing him to leave Turkey and return to Italy the next day, and he issued a statement denying his arrest.
