Despite the Events of the African Final FIFA Renews Confidence in Morocco

Khaberni -  FIFA insiders confirmed their conviction to host the 2030 World Cup matches in Morocco and that it was not negatively affected by what occurred in the Africa Cup of Nations final, emphasizing that the events in the final match do not change the positive assessment of the overall tournament organization.

According to The Athletic, "FIFA" confirmed that Morocco presented a fantastic tournament organizationally, successfully playing the role of an "exceptional host," stressing that the events of the final match cannot damage the hosting reputation or reduce the quality of what was presented throughout the tournament.

It added, "The same sources clarified that the relationship between 'FIFA' and Morocco is strong and robust, reflecting in the level of trust granted to Moroccan football at both continental and international levels, regardless of any temporary considerations linked to a single match or specific incident."

It continued, "This is evidenced by Morocco's continued honor of hosting several major tournaments and events in the coming years, including the Under-17 Women's World Cup until 2028, alongside organizing the Africa Cup of Nations, hosting decisive matches in African qualifiers, and participating in organizing the 2030 World Cup."

It concluded, "This stance reflects FIFA's conviction that Morocco has become one of the major organizational hubs in global football, and its path in hosting tournaments is steady, supported by accumulated experience and infrastructure that has enhanced its status as a reliable partner on the international stage."
