Khaberni - Citizens complained on the Khaberni website about repeated assaults and ongoing violations in Wasfi al-Tal Forest, confirming that the area is witnessing acts of vandalism without any oversight or accountability for the offenders.
According to the complaint, many violations still persist inside the forest despite the cessation of dumping building debris, but the previous quantities of debris still exist. With the recent rains, this caused them to drift and block a number of streets, impeding vehicle movement and causing damage to the residents of the area.
The complainants added that groups of people proceeded to cut down dozens of trees inside the forest, in addition to burning them, in an attack they described as dangerous to the vegetation cover and the environment. They urged the relevant authorities to urgently intervene to stop these transgressions, remove the waste, and protect the forest from tampering and vandalism.
