Syrian Defense Warns SDF and Issues Final Warning

Khaberni - The Syrian Ministry of Defense warned the "SDF" against any attempts to target the Syrian army or internal security forces, following the ceasefire agreement coming into force.
In a video message, Brigadier General Hassan Abdel Ghani, the spokesperson for the ministry, made an appeal to "our Kurdish people in Syria," affirming that they are "an integral and authentic part of the Syrian people," and that the state is committed to protecting them, preserving their dignity and property, and enabling them to live with dignity and pride in their homeland.

Abdel Ghani noted that the Kurds "have suffered great injustice over the decades, have been deprived of their rights, and faced systematic exclusion policies that affected their identity and existence."

He added that Decree Number 13, recently issued by Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shar', is a fundamental step towards the "new Syria" that "embraces all its children without discrimination or exclusion."

He emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is moving forward with recent understandings with "SDF" concerning the future of Hasakah Governorate, stressing the "sense of national responsibility and sincere keenness on sparing bloodshed and building a peaceful solution that ensures the unity, security, and stability of the country."

He also reminded that the Syrian state "is still in direct confrontation with ISIS," and had previously expressed its full readiness to take over the organization’s prisons in the region and handing them over to the Ministry of Interior.

In conclusion, Brigadier Abdel Ghani called on "SDF" to fully comply with the terms of the January 18 agreement, including adherence to the agreed truce, warning of the "consequences of targeting the Syrian army or internal security forces."
