Jordan Minister of Health A move to adopt comprehensive and unified medical protocols in hospitals

Minister of Health Ibrahim Al-Badour confirmed that the Ministry of Health is moving towards adopting comprehensive and unified medical protocols in various therapeutic services in the government hospitals of the kingdom, indicating that the first of these protocols will be applied to the treatment of cancer patients.

Al-Badour stated on "Al-Mamlaka" channel on Tuesday evening that the ministry will train the health staff involved in treating cancer patients before deploying them to some of the government hospitals, noting that this training will take place at the King Hussein Cancer Center, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the staff and expand the scope of specialized services offered.

Al-Badour added that a specialized center for cancer treatment will be established in the Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid, serving the entire Northern region, noting that the health ministry staff will receive their training in cooperation with the King Hussein Cancer Center during the implementation phases of the project, and that patients will be treated according to the same medical protocols adopted at the King Hussein Cancer Center.

He mentioned that magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was experiencing long waiting periods ranging between one and one and a half years, which compelled the ministry to implement an evening shift (shift "B") to facilitate and expedite the radiological examinations for patients in various government hospitals.
