Khaberni - The spokesperson for the General Security Directorate outlined the details of finding a two-year-old child east of the capital, stating that a report was received last Friday at the East Amman Police Directorate and the Family and Juvenile Protection Department about a lost child, aged two, found near Al-Tutanji Hospital in Sahab area.
The spokesperson added that they proceeded to the location, took custody of the child, and handed him over to the Family and Juvenile Protection Department, which started investigating the circumstances of his discovery and monitoring his case.
He continued, stating that after the child was examined by doctors and confirmed to be in good health, he was placed in one of the care homes for protection and to ensure his safety.
He confirmed that the child's mother was identified and efforts are ongoing to locate her to continue the investigation and to establish the circumstances of finding him without protection or care.
