Khaberni - After years of silence, Turkish actress Muji Boz came forward to candidly discuss her battle with psoriasis, revealing details of her struggle that has extended since her teenage years.
Turkish actress Muji Boz decided to break her silence after many years of secrecy, revealing for the first time her ordeal with psoriasis, which has afflicted her since she was fifteen, coinciding with her undergoing a detox treatment program in Austria.
Muji Boz shared with her followers on her official Instagram account a video clip in which she spoke honestly about her journey with the disease, stating that she did not know how or when she would share this experience, but felt that the time had come to share what she lived through during twenty years of battling a disease often described as "it doesn't kill, but it tortures."
The Turkish star clarified that her travel to Austria was not motivated by weight loss or curiosity, but in search of genuine treatment to help her recover, affirming that she is undergoing continuous detox treatment hoping for a real improvement in her health condition.
Muji noted that psoriasis might be linked to intestinal issues, which led her to believe that improving the health of the digestive system could positively affect skin health, adding that she is undergoing multiple treatment experiments and learning a lot about her body during this journey.
The actress touched on the painful symptoms she suffers from, explaining that the disease causes her a rash, severe itching, and red spots that spread across her body and can sometimes turn into large plaques that worsen with scratching, confirming that the outbreaks appear and disappear without clear cause.
She also admitted that the disease has directly affected her daily life and personal choices, as she has had to avoid wearing short skirts or revealing clothes for years, resorting to wearing long-sleeved clothes even in summer, which has impacted her social life and public appearances.
Muji Boz concluded her talk by inviting her followers to share their health experiences and speak openly about autoimmune diseases, expressing her hope that her story might be a source of support or light for others undergoing similar experiences.
