Khaberni - Within the framework of enhancing continuous academic development and improving the quality of the educational process at Amman Arab University and the continuation of the approach of academic integration among the colleges of the university, the College of Sharia at the university hosted Dr. Ahmed Al Baloush, a faculty member in the Business College, to present a specialized training workshop for the faculty members of the college under the title: "Measuring Learning Outcomes and the Effectiveness of Academic Programs".
During the workshop, Dr. Al Baloush presented a detailed presentation that focused on the practical and technical aspects of ensuring the quality of education, where the workshop covered several main topics, including: structuring the course and explaining learning outcomes and linking them with course content to ensure educational objectives are achieved, designing assessments and linking mid-term exams directly with learning outcomes according to the study plan, and analyzing the effectiveness of exams to ensure they reflect the knowledge, skills, and educational competencies, in addition to improvement mechanisms and calculating the "improvement rate" for learning outcomes and employing them in the development of academic programs and enhancing the quality of education.
The workshop aimed to benefit from practical experiences in the fields of quality and academic accreditation, developing measurement and assessment tools, and linking course learning outcomes with the academic program outcomes in Islamic jurisprudence and its principles, alongside reviewing methods of measuring and analyzing learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of academic programs, contributing to improving the quality of education and enhancing the educational experience for students and boosting their academic efficiency.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the faculty members of the College of Sharia praised the content of the training workshop, emphasizing the importance of exchanging knowledge and experiences among the colleges, which contributes to the development of the educational learning process in the programs of the College of Sharia and linking it with the educational outcomes of the program.
