Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump, as the founder president of the Gaza Peace Council, sent a message to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to join the council as a founding member.
The Turkish presidency stated in a statement today, Saturday, that "the United Nations Security Council, under Resolution 2803, decided to support the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza announced by U.S. President Donald Trump."
The statement added, "In this context, a 'Peace Council' and its bodies are being established to be responsible for ensuring security and reconstruction in Gaza."
Earlier, the White House issued a statement revealing that the Gaza Peace Council, to be chaired by President Donald Trump, will include figures such as Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Tony Blair.
