Khaberni - In its endeavor to elevate the level of its educational outputs and enhance its students' readiness for international exams, and under the directives of from Professor Dr. Mohammad Wadiyan, the university president, and with the support of Professor Dr. Malik Al-Salem Anaqreh, the dean of the College of Aviation Sciences, the college organized a specialized seminar on "EASA exams mechanisms(EASA)", presented by Engineer Mustafa Ghunaim from the Middle East Aviation Academy, attended by Dr. Ahmad Al-Hasban, the head of Aircraft Maintenance Department, and several faculty members and students from various disciplines..
The seminar addressed several main topics, notably the essay exams of EASA, where Engineer Ghunaim reviewed the nature of these exams, the mechanisms for evaluating answers, the most common mistakes students make, in addition to the standards adopted by EASA for correcting essay questions, and their direct impact on student results and success rates. Engineer Ghunaim also highlighted the importance of developing English writing skills for aviation sciences college students, emphasizing that mastering technical and scientific writing is a fundamental element for success in the essay parts of EASA exams, in both theoretical and practical aspects, for its role in enabling students to express technical concepts and operational procedures accurately and clearly according to internationally adopted terminologies. Ghunaim also affirmed the importance of integrating different academic courses in developing English writing skills among students, through intensifying writing exercises and encouraging students to adopt an analytical and methodical approach in answering, which contributes to improving their academic level and raising their readiness to advance to the EASA exams with higher efficiency and confidence.
The seminar witnessed significant interaction from students, where many questions and inquiries were raised about the preparation mechanisms for the EASA essay exams, the best methods to develop technical writing skills, and how to employ university courses in building a solid linguistic base that qualifies them for success in international exams. Engineer Ghunaim answered these student inquiries based on his academic and practical experience, offering a set of guidelines and recommendations aimed at supporting the students in their academic and professional journey..
