Khaberni - West Irbid Civil Defense Directorate personnel on Friday managed to retrieve a vehicle that fell into King Abdullah Canal in the Waqas area.
The district commissioner of Northern Ghawr, Khalid al-Kasasbeh, said that the vehicle had veered off the road and fallen into the canal's waters, while four people who were inside managed to get out and survive the accident.
The King Abdullah Canal witnesses repeated incidents of vehicles falling into it, as it runs alongside a narrow agricultural road that lacks lighting and fencing along most of its stretch.
