Khaberni - The global Ipsos consumer confidence index in Jordan for the fourth quarter of 2025 showed that 77% of Jordanians are optimistic that 2026 will be better than the last year.
60% of participants in the study believe that the Jordanian economy will be stronger in 2026, while 61% expect to attract more international investments to the Kingdom.
The study indicated that 53% of Jordanians expect the economic environment in the Kingdom to be better for investment in 2026 compared to the last year.
41% of study participants expect to make a major purchase (home/car) during this year.
In terms of tourism, 70% of Jordanians anticipate an increase in the number of tourists arriving to Jordan in 2026, while the same percentage (70%) also expect an increase in domestic tourism within the Kingdom.
In sports, the study showed that 71% expect the Nashama team to perform strongly in the 2026 World Cup and to qualify for the advanced stages.
According to the study, 88% of Jordanians plan to set personal goals for the year 2026, with the most prominent of these being financial goals (52%).
The significance of the consumer confidence index lies in its being a primary indicator of consumer spending trends in the domestic market, and although it is a lagging indicator of economic movement, rising consumer confidence bodes well for increasing consumer spending and interest in financing and investment, thus contributing to economic growth.
