Jordans Airports Surpass 10 Million Passengers Last Year

Khaberni - The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced a remarkable growth in Jordan's air transport sector last year, as Jordanian airports made an important achievement by exceeding the total number of arriving and departing passengers, crossing the 10 million passengers mark, indicating the sustainable recovery of the sector and its growing role in supporting the national economy.

Official statistical data issued by the Commission showed that the total number of passengers through various airports of the Kingdom reached 10,013,942 during the last year, compared to 8,969,780 passengers in 2024, confirming the increasing demand for air transport and the rising pace of tourist and commercial movement.

It revealed that Queen Alia International Airport continued its pivotal role as the main gateway for the Kingdom, registering more than 9.7 million passengers during 2025, with around 4.96 million arriving passengers and 4.82 million departing passengers, compared to about 8.8 million passengers in 2024. Moreover, the number of aircraft movements at the airport increased to 40,295 arriving and 40,280 departing aircraft.

King Hussein International Airport - Aqaba achieved notable growth, where the number of arriving and departing passengers exceeded 213,000 during 2025, compared to 161,000 passengers in 2024, alongside an increase in aircraft movements recording 2,240 incoming and 2,237 outgoing flights.

Regarding Amman City Airport, it maintained a stable operational level, with a growth in the number of departing passengers reaching 6,150 passengers during the year.

In terms of air traffic movements, Jordan's airspace experienced a significant increase in air transit movements, reaching 96,790 flights during 2025, compared to 76,723 flights in 2024, enhancing the Kingdom's status as a strategic regional air corridor.

The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission confirmed that these results reflect the fruits of continuous efforts in developing airport infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding the air connectivity network, in line with the objectives of the economic modernization vision and supporting the competitiveness of the Jordanian aviation sector regionally and internationally.
