Khaberni - In a surprise morning visit made by the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badoor, today Thursday, to the National Center for Addiction Rehabilitation affiliated to the ministry, he inspected the health and therapeutic services provided to patients, and assessed the level of psychological care and rehabilitation in various departments of the center.
During his tour, Dr. Al-Badoor listened to a detailed explanation from the staff at the center about the approved treatment and rehabilitation programs, and the mechanisms for dealing with addiction patients, in addition to the major challenges facing the medical and nursing staff, emphasizing that enhancing the quality of mental health and addiction treatment services is a national priority to protect the community and mitigate the negative repercussions of addiction. Al-Badoor also exchanged talks with the patients and learned about their needs and observations.
The Minister of Health affirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting and developing addiction treatment centers, providing the necessary capabilities to enable them to perform their therapeutic and rehabilitative roles according to the best accredited standards, which contributes to the rehabilitation of patients and their integration into society and improving the quality of their lives.
Dr. Al-Badoor emphasized the importance of continuing to provide comprehensive and safe services that consider the health, psychological, and social aspects of the patients, pointing out that investing in addiction treatment is an investment in the health and stability of the community.
