Khaberni - After a long absence, the great Egyptian artist Laila Taher broke her silence to attack those who spread rumors about her.
Laila Taher said in a television statement on Tuesday evening that she has been the subject of repeated rumors, especially about her death, and added: "What happens with the spreading of rumors about major artists does not only harm one person, but all their family members and close associates as well."

Laila Taher said she is used to these "annoying rumors," but their impact is significant on her family as they receive phone calls from relatives abroad who are concerned for her amidst a state of panic and sadness.
The artist called for a law that protects artists and celebrities from rumor mongers and holds those who fabricate such news accountable, which discredits the reputation of the artist, their families, and their fans.
