Lebanese Prime Minister The relationship between Lebanon and Jordan is not seasonal

Khaberni - Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stated that his country grants special importance to the visit of the Jordanian delegation led by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, due to its political and practical significance, and what it reflects of the solidity of the relationship that binds Lebanon and Jordan.

During a press conference with his counterpart Jaafar Hassan in Beirut on Wednesday evening, Salam added that the convening of the eighth session of the Lebanese-Jordanian High Joint Committee in Beirut confirms that the relationship between the two countries is not seasonal, but a stable relationship based on the accumulation of trust, and vital to fortifying stability in Lebanon, Jordan, and the region.

He pointed out that the agreements, memorandums of understanding, and implementation programs that were signed aim not only to expand cooperation areas but to establish clear working frameworks and practical follow-up mechanisms, ensuring the transition from agreement to implementation, and from intentions to results.

For his part, Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan stated on Wednesday that the security and stability of the region are essential for the success of joint efforts.

Hassan added that standing alongside Lebanon is a steadfast Jordanian position, affirming that Jordan will always remain the support for Lebanon, bolstering its security, stability, and sovereignty.

He noted that His Majesty King Abdullah II has tasked him with intensively working to translate the historical fraternal relations between our two countries into comprehensive cooperation in all fields.
