Sudden Death of Chinese Fashion Influencer Zhang Chun at 29

Khaberni - Chinese fashion influencer Zhang Chun, known online as «Ni Di Du Ko», died at the age of 29 due to heart-related health complications.

After the funeral held on Monday, her mother stated that the death was sudden and explained that her daughter had previously had a heart condition, alongside a lifestyle characterized by staying up late, which likely contributed to the deterioration of her health condition.

According to circulated information, Zhang felt a severe health problem in the early hours of January 1st, and was urgently taken to the hospital; however, doctors' attempts to save her were not successful.

Zhang rose to fame in the fashion world in 2018, after attracting attention with her photographs featuring youthful looks based on sneakers and streetwear, earning her the title of «Sneaker Goddess» and helping her to amass over a million followers across digital platforms.

Subsequently, she expanded her activities to include the entertainment field, and participated in several events related to hip-hop music before her career suffered a severe setback due to her fashion brand faltering and entering into a financial crisis, coupled with psychological suffering according to media reports.

In 2024, Zhang faced a wave of extensive criticisms after joining an adult content platform, attempting to settle her debts, which led to a decline in her popularity and exposed her to severe online attacks. She also revealed during a live broadcast last year that she was diagnosed with syphilis, explaining that the disease caused her painful skin problems.

Her mother mentioned that Zhang’s body was cremated in Shanghai, while social media platforms saw a flood of condolence and tribute messages, with followers expressing their shock at her early departure and calling for a stop to cyberbullying and its harsh impact on individuals.
