Khaberni - The Turkish company "i Productions" announced the postponement of filming the cinematic version of the popular work "The Pit" to be implemented during the summer of 2026.
This decision comes after a series of preparations and discussions about the most suitable time to gather the cast, especially with the current commitments of the series' star, Aras Bulut Iynemli, in other drama projects.
The production plan for the anticipated film includes an agreement with "Amazon Prime" where it was decided that the work will go through two phases; starting with an exclusive theatrical release, then later moving to the digital platform screens.
This step aims to capitalize on the huge popularity achieved by the series over its four years of broadcasting, offering a rich artistic experience that befits the big screen.
On another front, the star Aras Bulut Iynemli is currently involved in shooting other works, including the series "The Road Home" which brings him together with director Onur Saylak, following his success in the series "Genius" which aired last year.
This accumulation in the schedules has prompted the production side to choose the summer of 2026 as a final date to revive the world of "The Pit" anew, to ensure the full availability of the main crew.
The idea of the film revolves around presenting new angles and stories never told before within the famous neighborhood "The Pit," away from the events of the previous parts.
Reports indicate that the screenplay will highlight pivotal characters, with the possibility of introducing new faces that contribute to expanding the dramatic base of the work, while maintaining the atmosphere that attracted millions of viewers internationally.
