Khaberni - Nadia Mustafa posted on her Facebook account a statement disclosing details of the health status of the great artist Hani Shaker, after his admission to intensive care in one of the major hospitals in France, following treatment in Egypt for some time.
Nadia wrote in her post: "Firstly, the rumors about him suffering from bleeding and cardiac arrest for 7 to 8 minutes (during the procedure) are not true. The truth is he was admitted to the hospital originally due to severe bleeding caused by an old problem in the colon which he had suffered from before, as he suffers from pockets in the colon that can lead to inflammation and bleeding."
Nadia Mustafa continued her talk: "Indeed, he suffered severe bleeding, and transfusions were administered to him. However, the bleeding did not stop, so an intervention was performed using (interventional radiology), and this procedure successfully stopped the bleeding temporarily throughout the night. But in the morning the next day, the bleeding resumed, and his heart stopped for 6 minutes, and he was quickly resuscitated in 3 cycles, each cycle two minutes. Consequently, Dr. Abdel Rahman Lotfi, gratefully, who performed the surgery under extremely difficult and dangerous conditions, and performed a real miracle, as well as the medical team following the case, who saw the necessity for surgical intervention to permanently stop the bleeding."
Nadia Mustafa: Hani Shaker's long stay in intensive care weakened him
And Nadia Mustafa added: "Secondly, the surgery was successfully performed, and he was moved to intensive care, where he was under the influence of sedatives to alleviate pain, and upon waking, he was fully conscious and recognized his wife Mrs. Nahla, his son Sherif, and the treating team, and he indeed began the recovery phase in terms of nutrition and movement, but due to the long duration of his stay in intensive care (about 20 days), a general weakness in the body muscles occurred.. From here came the thinking and decision to travel abroad to a specialized hospital for patient rehabilitation and helping them regain their normal lives."
Nadia Mustafa said: "Thirdly, the rumor that he traveled only to continue treatment is not accurate, the travel was primarily for comprehensive medical rehabilitation, and indeed the hospital began conducting tests and analysis and studying the case to devise a suitable treatment and rehabilitation plan, and indeed he showed significant improvement within a few days and was discharged from intensive care, but unfortunately, he suffered a sudden relapse due to respiratory failure, his current condition is delicate and he is under precise medical observation.. But hope in God is great, for He is capable of changing conditions in a moment.. We ask God for his speedy recovery and that he returns to his family and his fans safe and healed.. We implore everyone to pray for him."
