Khaberni - Mohammad Al-Shaker, CEO of Arab Weather, said that it is not unlikely for snow showers to occur in the early hours of Tuesday, 13/1/2026, on the peaks of the high northern and central mountainous areas including the peaks of Jerash and Ajloun mountains such as Abein and Ableen and the Triangle of the Base, and the mountain peaks in Balqa such as Um Al-Jozah, and the capital Amman’s peaks such as the area of Suweileh and the Jordan University, in addition to the high mountains in Mafraq Governorate adjacent to Jabal Al Arab (heights of Deir Al Kahf and surrounding areas).
He added that the occurrence of accumulation of these showers might be temporary and only for a short period, with a higher likelihood for the northern peaks, and therefore, widespread snowfall is not expected.
With the hours after the afternoon, it is expected that the showers will extend to parts of Tafilah Governorate in the form of snow showers over the peaks of Qadisiyah and Rashadiyah.
It is also expected that the showers will include snow showers on the peaks of Sharah Mountains, including Rashadiyah and Qadisiyah in Tafilah Governorate, and the peaks of Shoubak, Petra District, and southern Taybeh, and western Ma’an Governorate, with the possibility of frost occurring on the peaks of Sharah Mountains.
