Jordan Director of State Property No Private Ownership in the Umrah City Project

Khaberni - The Director of State Property and spokesperson for the Department of Lands and Survey, Talal Al-Zobn, confirmed on Sunday that there are no private properties in the Umrah City project announced by the government.

Al-Zobn stated on "Al-Mamlaka" that the project was established on treasury lands, and that the ownerships within the project are under treasury lands.

He explained that the initial area was 500,000 dunams that were registered under the treasury.

Regarding encroachments on state property, Al-Zobn indicated that any encroachment on state property is destined for removal.

He added that the removal of encroachments on any state property is at the expense of the encroacher, and the encroacher is referred to the judicial authorities.

Regarding statistics from the past year, he clarified that the revenues of the Department of Lands reached 275 million dinars in 2025.

He spoke about the fact that the number of properties sold to companies reached more than 11,000 properties, indicating that its impact would be good on all sectors.

He drew attention to the fact that the rate of female ownership in Jordan is high compared to other countries in the region.

On his part, the head of the Owners of Real Estate Offices and Companies, Awad Al-Rahamneh, said that government incentives, especially covered spaces, have contributed to an increase in the volume of real estate transactions.

Al-Rahamneh added that a large percentage of the real estate transaction volume comes through offices and companies.
