Khaberni - Medical sources reported the death of a seven-day-old infant on Saturday morning in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip due to harsh cold and dropping temperatures.
The death toll due to the weather depression and severe cold in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 15 cases.
These figures reflect the severity of the humanitarian conditions in the strip, especially for children and displaced persons living in weak and inadequate tents to face the cold weather, while the people of Gaza Strip suffer from lack of shelter and treatment, and absence of heating due to fuel shortage, amidst a stormy, cold and rainy weather depression.
